Timber Joinery Perth was established in 2019 with the aim of providing a first-class timber joinery service in Perth.

Stuart Drysdale

Stuart’s passion for working with timber started at an early age. At senior school a teacher recognised that he had a special aptitude and creativity for working with wood. He encouraged Stuart to develop his skills in this area. From this day forward Stuart knew that working with wood was what he wanted to do as a career.

On Leaving school Stuart began his apprenticeship in Edinburgh, Scotland with a construction company that specialises in architectural restoration of some of the capitals most historical buildings. Through his further studies at college and hands on experience working with exceptional craftsmen he developed his skills and expertise to help create stunning contemporary homes that continue Edinburgh’s architectural tradition.

Stuart left his home in Scotland and spent some time travelling which helped broaden his knowledge in carpentry, furniture and woodworking.
Finding himself in Perth, Australia, he became the supervisor for a leading joinery company that had been successfully trading for over 50 years. Stuart spent 6 years with this company before he decided to move on and start his own business in partnership with Henry Weldon who shares Stuart’s passion for wood and for delivering a high-quality product that meets customer needs. Through their collaboration; Timber Joinery Perth was born.

At a young age it was clear Henry had a passion for the building industry and in specific heritage properties, he soon started an intense apprenticeship working for a well known and high end builder in South East England refurbishing old properties and replicating their techniques in the new constructions.

Shortly after his apprenticeship he was site foreman for his employer handling all facets of the trade. At the age of 19 Henry set out to achieve his dream of moving to Australia and starting up his own company. Since residing in Australia Henry has worked in several industries and has extensive experience in all aspects of the building industry, across both the commercial and residential sector. This experience extends to project planning, costings, coordination and business development. His excellent understanding of clients’ needs combined with his unwavering commitment to quality make him a truly client-focused craftsman.
